About This Series: Sabattier Dolls is a collection of "Sabattier prints." Each print was created in the dark room – without the aide of digital manipulation. The Sabattier effect is created by reexposing the print to light during processing. Images like these are commonly referred to as solarizations; however, solarizations are created by overexposing film, not prints.
